20 Percent Time Speech

Hello my name is Samuel Adams, and for my 20% time project, I decided to make a film about Fruit, and to learn some things about production of film/video. I did not finish my Short film. The film was supposed to be about a Fruit on his adventure to change the world for the better.  It was going to great.
My initial thought was to learn an instrument, of course, that didn’t happen. For some time I was lost at what to do for my 20 percent time. I covered it up by learning about historic Still Life paintings with fruit in them. So I looked at what I was already okay at, such as video production, but the thing was, when creating the movie, I was struck with a realization that I don’t even know what to do. And I had no time to do it either.
Although I didn’t accomplish my goal, I still learned many a thing about Fruit and video production, which was my real reason for making this “film”. I believe the reason that I failed at creating such a film like this is because I lacked the skill, motivation, and creativity to create such a thing.

Grapes

This painting is of grapes. Grapes, I love grapes. This painting is by Bartolomeo Bimbi, an Italian painter, who well, only did still life paintings. Born 1648, died 1723. There's not a lot of information on his life, besides he was Florentine. There's some kind of writing at the bottom of the painting, but it's to blurry to read. (who reads anyways?)

Stilleben

This painting is by Frants Bøe. A norwegian painter. This painting features my favorite fruit, Oranges. Oh man, I love oranges. Also grapes and peaches some of the best fruits. Anyways, Frants was born on May, 20th , 1820, and grew up in Bergen, Norway. Frants mostly drew landscapes and still life paintings.  Frants moved to Copenhagen to pursue his painting career. After training with other artists, he moved to Paris to train with another artist, then his vision got impaired by eye disease. So he moved back to Norway. He married, and lived the rest of his life in Norway. Frants was sitting on a bench in Nygårdsparken, where he suffered a stroke. The policemen who found him however, "misunderstood the situation" and put him in jail. They found out that he was innocent, but it was too late. Frants died in 1891.
